The evening at a glance…

Guests will start arriving by shuttle at 5, with dinner at 6:30 and music at 7:30.

  • Park at Carmichael Elementary School, hop on a shuttle to Sutter Community Gardens.  (Please note:  there is no parking at the park for the event.  Shuttle service is provided starting at 4:45 at Carmichael Elementary School, 6141 Sutter Ave, Carmichael, 95608.  Click for map to school)
  • Upon arrival, enjoy a glass of wine while greeting friends and wandering through the beautiful community gardens at Sutter Park.

  • Then, meander from Sutter Gardens down the path toward Charles Jensen Botanical Gardens, enjoying local restaurant’s sumptuous appetizers and beverage stations along the way.

  • Exquisite desserts prepared and served by the local Carmichael restaurants.
  • And, Finally, listen to live music, featuring internationally known musician and Carmichael resident, Joe Gilman and his trio.  Dr. Joe Gilman is a full-time professor of music at American River College in Sacramento, an adjunct professor of jazz studies at CSU Sacramento, and a longtime associate of the Brubeck Institute and the Stanford Jazz Workshop. Joe was the music director of Capital Jazz Project from 1997 to 2011. Read more

 

  • Shuttle service will return guests to Carmichael Elementary at the conclusion of the evening.

 

  • Appetizers and desserts provided by Chris Jarosz of Patriots, Billy Ngo of Fish Face, Ernesto Delgado of Mesa Mercado, River City Brewing Company, Melissa Jaynee of Jaynee Cakes.
